Tensions rise when two minds and two wills attempt to lead. One must lead. One must follow. Both must seek wisdom in their role. 

Wisdom comes from the Lord and is found in the Word. Receive it and treasure its commands. Turn your ear toward wisdom. Call out to the Lord for insight, incline your heart to understand His ways. 

Seek wisdom like silver; pursue it like a hidden treasure. Then, and only then, will you begin to comprehend the fear of the Lord. This is the beginning of knowledge – procuring a sweet and reverent awe of God, your Creator, your King.

The world presents an easier way. The world challenges our God-given roles in marriage but it leads to ruin. The world despises understanding. The world forgets wisdom’s instruction, but the wise heed its teaching. 

You are meant for more than this world. 

You are created for eternity. You are made in the image of the Lord Jesus. 

Seeking Him, is the beginning of wisdom. Seeking Him first is foundational in a healthy marriage. 

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
