Ours is the only love you know. Daddy plays hero, slaying dragons and winning your heart. But one day you’ll yearn for the love of another. 

One day your adoration and devotion will shift, and another man will emerge as your prince. But don’t merely wait for this unnamed hero. Prepare. 

Becoming the right mate should be just as important than finding the right mate. Are you patient and kind? Do you envy or boast? Are you arrogant or rude? Do you insist on your way? Are you irritable or resentful, rejoicing in wrongdoing or rejoicing in the truth? 

Examine your heart. Are you ready to sacrifice yourself for the sake of another? 

Follow the example of the only prince who will never fail you, the prince who left His throne to ransom Himself for His beloved. When you surrender to Him, He enables you to love others His way, with the kind of love that puts others first. Don’t waste your waiting.  

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
