Mother’s cuddles and kisses grow into responsibility, into spooning food into bird-like mouths, sanitizing bottles and doctoring scrapes. It is endless love cycling like clothes in the dryer.
Childhood’s popsicles and bubbles grow into maturity, into moving from being fed the Word of God, to digging in yourself, into accepting that friends can be fickle, but can also be family, into the testing of adolescence where the values we’ve planted will sprout.
You’ll decide what you believe —about everything—wearying your soul. When these difficult days arrive, run to Jesus.
All things are possible when you replenish your strength with His strength.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
MATTHEW 11:28 NIV
