Page 17 – “I Longed to Feel You Move” Unexpected Love: Digital Interactive Devotional and Bible Study

Your tiny newness, growing within the shelter of my skin, came alive in wondrous wavy, gray lines. At my first glimpse of your fearfully and wonderfully made form, as I clutched that first grainy picture of your essence, the wonderment and responsibility of motherhood weighed heavy. Your very life depended upon me.

And, much like how I long to feel your movement within, how I caress my swollenness in hope of a flutter, a kick, or sensation of you, God longs for us to move in Him.  If my broken, flesh-wrapped temple for the Holy Spirit can shelter you and sustain life, how much more will the very maker of life do for those He called into existence?

For now, you are protected within, pressed up against the essence of my love. But one day, I pray you will depend on your Father for more than breath, knowing that breath itself is a gift from Him.

For in Him we live and move and have our being.

ACTS 17:28 NIV
