Page 39 – “You Were Made in My Image” Unexpected Love: Digital Interactive Devotional and Bible Study

A tender union foreshadows you, birthing love from a mixture of the best of us. My familiar silky curls have reproduced in you, making a mini-me. The hazel in your eyes belongs to your daddy. 

You are fashioned in our likeness and born into our lineage and, Lord willing, you will bring honor to our family name. You come from us, and we come from Him. 

We are made in the likeness of God, created to glorify the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are baptized into His name. Our soul reflects the Father and, Lord willing, we will bring honor to His name. 

We love you because you are so obviously ours. 

The Father loves us. We are obviously His, made to reflect His glory. 

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
