Everything I have on this earth, will eventually become yours because you are mine. An inheritance is a gift, passed down generationally through love, blood or relationship. The owner of the will decides where their possessions will be allocated. In some cases children, who are nice wonderful people, have been left out of a will because they are no longer in relationship.
Our eternal inheritance flows from Him to us. His wealth. His heaven is bequeathed to those He chooses.
John 3:16 – NIV
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Our heavenly Father determines who receives this eternal inheritance. He determines it by relationship, with those who love and are in relationship with Him through His Son. In Christ, we receive our inheritance. He stands before God, white as snow, covering all our sins.
Our inheritance can never perish, spoil, or fade. Our inheritance is being kept for us in heaven.
PETER 1:3-5 – ESV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
