Love that flows down from parent to child differs from the love that flows up from child to parent. It’s what enables you to grow up, leave home and begin your own family. The day you meet your firstborn, you will better understand parental love, unconditional & never-ending.
A sacrificial stream of love will pour out from you to your child, quietly devouring every minute. It empowers you to smile through tears, guilt and exhaustion. This consuming love for your child is fueled by God’s consuming love for you.
The unconditional never-ending love flowing down from our Father empowers you to love others.
This season becomes less about parenting perfectly, and more about how you respond to the challenges of parenting God molds you through your children, teaching you how to be a better parent, but also how to be a pleasing child, totally dependent on Him.
Romans 8:38-39 ESV
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
