Your empty arms ache for the weight of a child. You pray. You wait. Hope and despair rage as the tempest shakes your very core.
A fearsome question blows: What if God says no? Infertility is only one of many wounds this fallen world inflicts.
We can’t know why God has allowed this sorrow. Mishap and fortune appear to fall haphazardly and it doesn’t seem fair. Why do others receive this blessing? Why not me?
Grief and faith rise and fall in a familiar dance and you wonder if the music will ever stop. It isn’t the song that played at your wedding, but it’s the one playing now. Never lose faith. The Lord can make this into beautiful music.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
