They will come. They collect drop by drop, in flowing streams, or a flood of emotion. Tears are unavoidable in this pain-filled world where no one learns to walk without falling, make friends without hurting, risk without breaking, try without failing, love without losing, or live without dying.
The tears will fall. As they do, I promise to catch what I can. I’ll kiss your scraped knees and love you through broken hearts. But some tears will fall too fast for me. The ache will be bigger than you, bigger than me.
Only one person can wipe those tears. He promises to collect them in a bottle. He promises an inheritance where tears will be no more.
He is our sovereign Lord.
When this world brings fresh sorrow, turn to Him. Choose the narrow gate that leads to the place of ultimate healing where the last come first. Here, your robes are washed white in the blood of the Lamb. You’ll never hunger, never thirst, never bake under the scorching sun, and the Lamb will lead you to living water.
There is no more death, mourning, crying or pain. Everything is made new.
The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end fully satisfy.
You will see God’s face, no longer under the curse, no longer in darkness because He is the light. You will be safe and know that this God is your God. He wipes away your tears.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
